Dear all,

Please see the sentence "I take five minutes to check to make sure that the windows are closed and the computers are turned off before I leave work." They are taken from the WhatsApp message of a native speaker. I think the sentence can be rewritten as given below. I'd like to get your opinion on this.

1) "I take five minutes to make sure that the windows are closed and the computers are turned off before I leave work" or 2) "I take five minutes to check that the windows are closed and the computers are turned off before I leave work".
