Hello! I have such a question: when an accused in course of a court hearing wants an interpreter, judge or anyone else to stop participating in the trial (to exclude them or to replace them with anyone else), can it be called "to remove a judge/interpreter" or it is obligatory to say "to challenge smb."?
Top answer
This is a question of legal jargon, but I see no obstacle to using either and having your meaning understood.
