to blend into/to blend in with

Hello,
Is it true that we cannot use "blend into" because it doesn't involve any movement? For example, the sentence "She blended into the crowd" wouldn't make any sense. Also, is it true that we can say "The hunter blended in with the foliage", but we can't say "The hunter blended into the forest"?

I am more worried about the other sentence, to be honest. Do "The hunter blended into the forest very well and nobody could see him", "The hunter blended in with the foliage well and nobody could see him" and "The hunter blended into the surrounding environment and nobody could see him" sound okay? If they all sound bad, what would you say?

Thank you

They all seem fine to me.

A few days ago I was told (not on this site) that "into" didn't really work with "blend", especially in the sentences above. Therefore blending into the forest would be impossible. Most dictionaries beg to differ, but they are not always right. It's just a little confusing for me now

I have told you that 'blend into' is possible. Some dictionaries have apparently told you it's possible. Corpus citations show that people do use it. What's your problem?

Nothing, just saying.
