Hello, If someone's wearing camouflage, can we say: "He melted into the forest" or "He blended in with the surrounding environment and I couldn't see him anymore"? I was thinking about "He blended in with the forest/trees and I couldn't see him anymore", but for some reason it sounds odd to me. What do you think?
Top answer

Is it actually wrong to say "He blended into the forest and I couldn't see him any more"? Maybe they parted, but speaker kept looking in the same direction until he could no longer see his companion/friend.
