Hello, What in your opinion is the difference between: "A lot of people blamed/faulted him for not acting sooner" "The truck driver was blamed/faulted for the accident." "I can't blame/fault him for trying to protect the company's interests ."
They do look the same to me and neither would surprise me. What do you think?

They are interchangeable in your sentences. "Blame" is much more common, but "fault" is correct.
