Vocabulary

to become agitated

Hello,
Some dictionaries say it means "worried/nervous", others say it also means "excited" (positive).
- He became visibly agitated when she walked into the room.
I had a look at several examples and it was more similar to "worried", but I know dictionaries are not always right. What do you think?

Thank you.

In some contexts its meaning is quite similar to "annoy/anger". Can it be as strong as these two verbs? Here's the sentence:
- If I talk about the problem with him it just agitates him even more.

Yes, but not as specific. In your sentence, he could be angered or frightened or other emotions.
