To be surprised at ..?

Dear all,

I have always thought that "I am surprised about" is correct but recently I have found out that the correct preposition to use would be "at" so it is "I am surprised at your behaviour" right ?

I have also read some e-mails received by some customers where they used "by"

What is necessary to use then? "by", about " or "at" ?

Thank you

Pamela

Hi The phrase works with all those prepositions: - I'm surprised about that - I'm surprised at that - I'm surprised by that I can't think of any difference between them - they mean the same, so far as I know Dave

Hi

The phrase works with all those prepositions:

- I'm surprised about that
- I'm surprised at that
- I'm surprised by that

I can't think of any difference between them - they mean the same, so far as I know

Hi Dave,

thank you so much!

It seems to me that 'surprised about' is the least common of the three, but that of course doesn't render it incorrect.
