To be out of work vs to be off work

Hi teachers,
To be 'out of work' is when you don't have a job. Right? or just 'I'm unemployed'?
How do you say in English when you have a job, but you can't work because for example you have a cold and the doctor told you to be in bed for a few days. Is it 'to be off work'?

Thanks in advance.

Hi fivejedjon,
Thank you for your reply. Could you tell me why 'I'm unemployed' isn't a good one?

Because if you are unemployed, you have no job to go (back) to.

Yes, when you don’t have a job, you are out of work or unemployed. Same thing.

Hi fivejedjon,
Thank you for your reply.
I though in both cases, to be out of work and unemployed, is when people are looking for a job because they don't have one.

Some people who are unemployed/out of work have not the slightest intention of looking for a job.
