To be of help????

is it correct to say:

" i hope i have been of help" or " i hope it was of help" Note that i m translating from italian language (where it is OK) to English and i really doubt it makes a sense...??

Usually i write " i hope it helped you "

Can you advise something else?

Hi,

It's fine. But start with a capital 'I'. Emotion: smile

If 'of help' doesn't sound 'English' enough for you, you can always say 'helpful' instead.

No, not with 'a lot of' stuck in there. The registers are mismatched.
