To be not resigned/ reconciled to something and to resent something?

Boss: you are too lazy and you may be fired soon.
Staff: 1) I resent that decision.
2) I am not resigned to that decision.

3) I am not reconciled to that decision.
Is it 1 & 2 & 3the same meaning? what does it mean by " not resigned/reconciled to something and resent something? in this context. Thanks alot

I wouldn't use 2 or 3 and, in any case, it's referring to a comment/observation and NOT to a decision. )

Hi,

Here's a small additional comment.

'The staff' refers to all the employees collectively.

An individual employee is 'a staff member', 'a member of the staff'.

In N. America, the word 'employee' is more commonly used than 'staff member'.

For collective references, the word 'employees' is more common than the word 'staff'.

Best wishes, Clive
