Vocabulary

To be loaded (in context)

Context: Angela married an old man (Sam) who was very rich. She talks with her friend Steve. Some people think that Angela is a materialist.
Angela: My father was an actuary for the Hartford insurance company. He died at his desk. I was still at Andover.
Steve: Huh. Like say about Sam's age?
Angela: What?
Steve: So you must be loaded.
Is there some kind of emotional experience (load) or rather a good financial situation thanks to her father’s fortune she probably inherited? Does an actuary earn a lot? Does Steve mock that her husband was of her father’s age and he was also rich?
