To be in a bed of cotton

Hi

In my language, there is an expression whose literal meaning in English is to be in a bed of cotton. This idiom is (rather disapprovingly) used for people who feel too secure in their job, parents’ house, etc and therefore do not move ahead in life for a long time. For example:

A- Tina’s so talented, but she seems for ever stuck with that small firm. Why doesn’t she try for a better job?

B -Perhaps she’s in her cotton bed there.

Any English equivalent(s)?

Thanks,

Tom
