To be furious about sy's buying sg

Dear Friends,

Suppose Kate went shopping but bought nothing. She is angry about that. Can we say:

She is furious about her buying nothing?

Is 'her' ok in the above sentence?

Thanks a lot.

) gerund (object of the preposition). You may also omit the her , if you choose. I'd also be inclined to kick it back a tense to perfect: She is furious about [her] having bought nothing.

Yes, the posessive is correct before the present participle (Woops!) gerund (object of the preposition). You may also omit the her, if you choose.

I'd also be inclined to kick it back a tense to perfect: She is furious about [her] having bought nothing. (I know "tense" is the wrong word here.)
