Grammar

to be done

Hi!

"What is to be done must be done" <- Is this ok, I'm trying to mean one must be responsble for their doing. Welcome to make adjustment. Thanks, -Terr

The sentence is grammatically correct. It says basically that a person must do what he is supposed to do -- which is a bit circular logically, though possible. But it doesn't say that he must take responsibility for his actions, if that's what you're trying to say.

Hi Califjim!

Yes, this is it! I just didn't pick the right word, I thought if one completed what he's asked to do, that's the same as being responsible. Thanks for confirming this. -Terr
