Vocabulary

to be crazy

Hello,
What I heard seemed a little strange to be. Is it true that it is odd to use crazy when describing an idea, behavior, etc? For example:
- I think his idea wasn't all that crazy.
- It's crazy. Who would do a thing like that.
- You've stolen your brother's brand new tools?! That's completely crazy.

All three sentences make sense to me, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone else qualified an action, idea, etc as crazy. What do you think?
