Vocabulary

to be aggravated

Hello,
Does "My friend looked/was very aggravated after the meeting" sound more natural than "My friend looked/was very annoyed after the meeting"? I think the latter's much more common.

Top answer

, he may not have actually been aggravated/annoyed; he may just have looked that way.

They all work, but note that "looked" just means that; i.e., he may not have actually been aggravated/annoyed; he may just have looked that way.
