Grammar

to be after location

Is it right to say:

Next to the house is the famous castle.

Is "there" necessary?

Do English people say it at all even if incorrect?

Thanks

Anonymous Is it right to say:Next to the house is the famous castle. That is odd—because of 'the'—but possible. 'There' is certainly unnecessary.
