To attribute

Hi all,

A question of collocation: Can a cost be attributed to a person/party, i.e. they should pay it? For example:

We shall be responsible for all costs that can be reasonably attributed to us.

Thanks!

Just to be sure I'm saying what I mean to say. Does the example sentence mean:

If it is our responsibility to pay a cost (e.g. because we incurred it), then we will pay it.
