to align documentation

Hi, can I say that documentation must be aligned according to the real product.

I mean to say that the engineering (design) documentation was prepared for the products, which are to be manufactured. However, the product properties will change after their manufacture due to alterations in technological process. So the documentation has to be adjusted for the products. The documentation will be used for product maintenance.

"aligned according to the real product" does not seem the most felicitous phrasing. You could say that the documentation must be updated to reflect changes to the product(s).

No, that won't do.

Documentation must be kept updated to match any alterations to the products or to the means of producing them.
