Hello, Would it be natural to say "Jack and the contractor failed to agree on a price, so he's not getting his house painted on Tuesday." and "I'll do the job, but we need to negotiate the price first."? I realize the two sentences are different and 1 has nothing to do with 2. Do they sound fine, though? Can we also say "They failed to reach an agreement on the price"? I wouldn't say that.
