Could you tell me whether you use the idiom "to a T" as "I happen to have an ensemble of my own that matches yours to a T." in a conversation? It seems rare to be used somehow. Thanks in advance!
Top answer
I might use it very occasionally. I don't hear it every day, but if I do hear it in conversation it sounds normal, not odd or conspicuously rare.

It is pretty common in speech but you don't normally see it written as it is informal. In fact I'm not sure if I have seen it written. I am questioning even whether to write "to a tee."
