Is it natural to say "to a date far away" ? Is the rest correct too?
When looking for a booking in the system whose arrival date you don't have but whose reservation number you do have set the arrival date to today and the departure date to a date far away.
Thank you

Far away works fine. You might feel better with a date far into the future.
