**TITLES**

I get confused what constitutes a formal/official title versus an occupational title.
Can anybody cite several examples of formal/official titles and occupational titles? Which ones do you disagree with -- and how would you punctuate/write them? Thanks a million!Emotion: sleep

Would anybody agree that I've correctly capped the below titles preceding the names of people?

New York State Trooper Mike McConnolly made the arrest.
(Cap New York State Trooper before the name?)

He will turn the case over to State Trooper Emily Thompson.
(Cap 'State Trooper'?)

It is rumored that Loss Prevention Specialist Tim Smith will formulate an action plan.
(Cap 'Loss Prevention Specialist'?)

Frank said that Zone Director Joe Ingram will be on vacation next week.
(Cap 'Zone Director'?)

I spoke with Trenton Detective Matt Mihaley.
(Cap Detective?)

I will contact Police Officer John Connor tomorrow.
(Cap Police Officer?)

I will talk to Store Manager Sean Doyle about the incident. (Cap 'Store Manager'?)
