tiny yellow duckling

Hello,

Is it

It is a tiny yellow duckling.
It is a tiny, yellow ducking.

Do you need a comma here? WHy?

Or does it depend on what you want to say? If the latter, can you explain?

Thanks.

Hi

If you want the reader to pause for a moment over your description, then the comma is good

If it is just a straight description then I would leave the comma out

I wouldn’t encourage arbitrary pauses to students trying to learn standard punctuation. The I feel/intend a pause there approach could lead to comma abuse.

Ouch! The only thing worse than a painful tattoo, is a painfully mis-spelled tattoo! #10 is just hilarious. http://bit.ly/14okmaa - sp
