Time-sharing pitches

Hi everybody

What does 'time-sharing pitcihes' means in the following?

If you have a tight deadline, the other side can play the waiting game to secure a better deal. You will feel pressured while the other party is calm, watchful and patient. If you need a new car straightaway, you are under a time constraint. The closer you get to the point where the need becomes critical, the more urgent it becomes to obtain it. In sales presentaiosn for time-sharing pitches, sales people will invariably tell you that you can enjoy their special deal only if you act at that very instant.. But if you decide against the deal and change your mind later, it would be too late. It is a tried and tested method contrived to put you in the bind of a time constraint.

Thanks in advance.
