Time is passing by?

Is it right to say "Time is passing by"? I'm writing a song and I used these words on the chorus. I know saying "time is going by" is ok and also "time passes", but I am not sure about "time is passing by", even song writers get that "poetic license" which you can make grammar mistakes to rhyme, I don't want to write something people know its really wrong. But if it's okay to say then I dont need to change anything. Thank you Emotion: smile
