The real nature of time is a deep question that is not well understood by human beings, whetheer they are philosophers or scientists.

It simply means that time is an obscure and abstract concept, but lunchtime is something that is even more obscure in the sense that it is not only time but it is a relative time that varys on the person (when is lunchtime to you?) and is really only in name a time at all.
