Time expressing

Hi everyone! I occured some problem, when I was reading some book in English. Does 'half two in the morning' mean 1:30 am or 2:30 am? It's quite important for me to know it well, so please – answer if you are sure about that. And thanks a lot for your help (whoever you are, dear respondent). :-)

Most commonly, the expression is half past two . I have seen some cases where the " past " is omitted, but the same meaning is intended.

Anon,
Anonymous I occured some problem,
Next time if you have questions, don't use this expression, it looks and sounds terrible in so many ways. You may say: I have a few questions, (or problems) and I need help. Just a point to help you improve.

Thank you a lot! ;-) It is very kind of you to say me about that. I will remember. It is also quite funny, because I was wondering about that expression by myuself - is it suitable or not. ;-)
