Time clauses

Hello,

Is the sentence below an example of 'time clauses'? :

1. When I am adult, I will participate in elections.

Or should i say:

2. When I will be adult, I will participate in elections.

If the first second is not correct, is this one ok?

3. When I turn 18, I will participate in elections.

Would be grateful for your help,

Kind regards,

Coincidence.

I agree with GG but I would add that number one would sound a lot more natural if you used an article before "adult" like this:

When I am an adult, I will participate in elections.

and even better like this:

When I'm an adult, I will participate in elections.

I totally agree. I didn't notice their absense!
