The door was heavily timbered with oak. (or) The house had a door of timbered oak. /a door timbered with oak.

"timbered" does not only mean "made of". It can also mean "furnished with"

So you can say " The door was made of oak" if this is the case.

Hello,

I was wondering if it's also possible to use 'of' with timbered instead of 'with' meaning made of oak.

No, it wasn't a part of another sentence I just wanted to ask about using 'of' instead of 'with'.

Could you please give me an example of using the second meaning of 'timpered' I mean furnished with?
