Tim Burton's "9"...anyone seen the previews?

This movie doesn't come out until 9-9-09, of course. It's an animation, not quite like "A Nightmare Before Christmas" or "Corpse Bride", or maybe it is. But, it's about a post-nuke world with little creatures who are the "future" of humankind. Altho they're upright and bipedal, they don't seem to be humans unless they're a new species. It looks interesting, has a lot of name voices. How are Burton's works viewed around here?

  • [/nq] Actually, Burton neither wrote nor directed THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, and he didn't write or direct this one either.

Despite how disappointing many of his recent efforts have been, I still consider myself a fan of his. I may be the biggest snob in the world, but I am not fickle.

Personally I can't abide them, and refused to see Big Fish or Chocolate Factory simply because they were Burton. I did make an exception for Sween

[nq:1]Well, I guess I wasn't thinking about his live action movies, but his animated ones so while I've seen Big Fish and Scissorhands, I've never seen Sweeney Tood, Chocolate Factory or his version of Batman.[/nq]
Of all those, I think Big Fish is the standout Good Film.

I love words.

Nope. But I saw and loved "Brazil."
(Does that count for anything?)
