Tighter than a hose...

I've heard this expression:

"Don't stick the neck in anything tighter than a hose [.....]"

The last word is not 'clamp', it sounds more like "cala" or "kola". What could it be this word? What does the expression mean?

I know the expression tighter than a hose clamp, but here he doesn't say 'clamp'.
