Tie up with, bound

Hi,

My maths teacher emailed me and the rest of the students to tell us that if we had any problems using this one specific computer program (It's not important which one I'm talking about.), we should let him know by the end of the week.

This was my reaction.

"Why does he have to tie up everything with deadlines?"

"Why does everything we do for his class have to be bound by deadlines"?

Are these possible?

Perhpas you can think of other options.

I think you might want "complicate" in the first.
