Tickets

My friend is giving us free tickets to her college basketball game. And I say:

"That's awesome, because I had been thinking about getting tickets for tonight's game, but decided not to." OR

"That's awesome, because I was thinking about getting tickets for tonight's game, but decided not to." OR

"That's awesome, because I have been thinking about getting tickets for tonight's game, but decided not to."

Are all three useable? Thank you.

But my friend's giving me tickets to her game, so wouldn't that make the past perfect tense acceptable?

We've gotten tickets from my friend.

And then I say: I had been thinking about getting tickets, but decided not to.

It's definitely two past incidents. Isn't it?

Hi,

Yes, you could.
