Most conjunctive adverbs are followed by a comma. Can we eliminate the comma after 'thus' in the sentence below? It seems as though the comma can be eliminated after the words 'thus' and 'hence' when each is preceded by a semicolon in their conjunctive adverbial forms. But the rest of all conjunctive adverbs should be followed by a comma. Do you agree?
