I prefer this I'm actually flying back to California ( on Thursday) to visit/to see my relatives and talk to a recruiter. 'on Thursday' tells you have planned to do both the things on the same day. In case you have planned only the talk to the recruiter on Thursady you need to have on Thursay at the end.
