"Thunk"

Hi, there!

I found that "Thunk" is a dull hollow sound. But as a verb, what is the meaning, please?

e.g. “A skunk sat on a stump and thunk the stump stunk, but the stump thunk the skunk stunk.”

Thanks,
Jr.

By the way in the example given "Thunk" is representing the comic form of "think" in the simple past tense, isn't it ?

Thanks again,
Jr.
