I don't know hoe to express the usage of pay off

I mean he borrow some money from me and he returned that money to me.
can I say that or you can tell me other sentences to describe the thing.

He paid off his debt to me within three months.

"Pay off"

In the sense in which you are using it, i.e. to repay money which is owing, I think you would use this as follows:

He paid off his debt in weekly installments - i.e. he repaid the money, but bit by bit.

He paid off his debt in full.

You can also say "he paid back the money"

or simply "he repaid his debt"
