"Throwing coconuts to the wind" meaning

Hello! I have to translate an article that says "not throwing coconuts to the wind', but I have no idea what that expression means. Does this make sense in English?

The usual expression is "throw caution to the wind."

If coconuts were caution, you should not throw coconuts to the wind.

This seems to be the article:

Clearly the author has adapted the expression in reference to the earlier mention of coconuts, but I still can't say that I really understand it.

The only thing I could find with that expression was an article on Powerball, a lottery game.

Not throwing coconuts to the wind (that creates better odds though,) the actual odds
