Through/around the garden

The cat chased a grasshopper through the garden.

Hi,

Is it right to understand "through" in the above as "around" and "all over?" Thanks.

Hi, Maybe, but 'through' sounds more like they entered from one side of the garden, ran across it, and exited from the other side. Clive

Maybe, but 'through' sounds more like they entered from one side of the garden, ran across it, and exited from the other side.
