through and through

Hi!

What does ''.....through and through'' mean? Can I use it when I want to go for some kind of emphasis in a sentence? To be clearer, this is the sentence in the Urban Dictionary:

''A man's man has no androgynous features. He is pure man THROUGH AND THROUGH.''

"through and through" is a set phrase meaning "completely", "thoroughly", "throughout the entire extent (of someone/something)". Be aware (if not already) that Urban Dictionary contains user-generated content with no proper editorial control. While occasionally useful, especially for very new or obscure slang, it is also full of errors and nonsense and should not be treated as a "proper" dictionary.
