Through a glass darkly

To see “through a glass” — a mirror — “darkly” is to have an obscure or imperfect vision of reality. The expression comes from the writings of the Apostle Paul; he explains that we do not now see clearly, but at the end of time, we will do so.

Hello,

I wonder why the verse uses "darkly" instead of "vaguely". Does the darkly refer to the almost completely ingorance of the reality?

I think "vaguely" is closer.

At the end of time = refers to after Christians pass away, and they will go to the heaven and meet with God, so they can see reality clearly?

Thanks!
