Three questions: one on dash use and two other questions

Hi, I think a dash in a sentence to note a break in your thought pattern or change in your sentence pattern. Does that mean any sentence transformation is possible for it?

Hi, Jane. Good news -- afraid I can't go to the with you today evening.
Hi, Jane. I want to tell you this. Say -- I will marry you.

1. Would you say it is proper or correct to write like this? Could we put the word like "next" in front of dates?

Our January 24-26 event is cancelled and rescheduled to next March 22-24. Please take/make a note of it.

2. Are these possible? Could we put a singular or plural noun before words like "such' as "like"?

You can use dashes in more or less any way you want to. Just rememb
