three questions on articles

Hi,

Thank you for your anticipated help.

1. Would you say the following sentence would be considered a better sentence if I added artcles as shown?

It addresses the needs by focusing on grammar practice, (the) extension of bocabulary, and (the) development of confidence.

(Did I write the underlined part right?)

2. Is the article "the" still being applied to the noun "topic"? I think the is applicable to the word "skills" but not sure it is being applied to the word "topic" too.

... build on either the language, skills, or topic covered in the main lesson.

3. Is the article "the" being applied to the word "numbers" here? I think I got this sentence from a post here. How could you make sure of that?

With the articles, that is not first time you've seen the fruits and numbers .
