Three-quarter-inch

Hi

A pinball-like device allows 9000 three-quarter-inch marbles to circulate around 330 nylon pegs and distribute themselves into 19 collecting bins at the bottom.

I was trying to convert it into centimetres. Is it around 1 centimeter in diameter?

P.S. I understand they were falling into 19 bins?

NewguestMaybe it means that when the marbles fall into the bins they create a shape resembling a bell-shaped curve?
That's right: more ***** in the middle bins than in the bins on the sides.
