Three hours is

Hello,

I think '' is'' correct even though my subject is plural three hours. Am I right?

Three hours is the most impartant part of a class seminar.

Thank you in advance.

Hi, The verb 'is' is fine. But it makes no sense just to speak of 'three hours' without telling us which three hours .. eg The first three hours / the last thrre hours is the most part of a seminar.

  • Also, I would speak either of 'a class' or 'a seminar', but not of 'a class seminar'.
