Thread (technical meaning) question

Based on the definition stated in the Oxford Dictionary: a thread is defined as follows

'A helical ridge on the outside of a screw, bolt, etc. or on the inside of a cylindrical hole, to allow two parts to be screwed together.'

My concern though, is to find out how to define a meronym of a thread, understood as its constituent, single, identical repeated element.

In semantics, a meronym is a word that denotes a constituent part or a member of something that can represent the whole.

SInce a "thread" in your particular definition, has no components, there is no word that can be a meronym.
