Thread resolved or not?

I was just wondering, who decides if a thread is resolved or not? And how?

Thanks

Usually a moderator, SG, though we haven't got the system running entirely smoothly yet. The basic concern is whether the questioner got an adequate response. If so, it will be considered resolved, though the discussion may continue (or rage on).

  • The resolution decision is not meant to slam the door on the thread; it is merely a sorting mechanism for our administration.

Thanks Mister. A couple of more questions..

Who are the moderators? Who chose them? I don't see any information of the website, so just wondering how EnglishForward.com works.

Thanks

You get chosen by management and other moderators if you exhibit patience, equanimity and a reasonable knowledge of the language. It is all relative, of course.

Thanks for the information.

I don't have any plan of becoming a moderator in near future.

I just wanted know, how these forums work, and who are the persons involved in it.

There's a thread somewhere, in "Comments" or "Help" I think, titled "who are the modarators?" (with a spelling mistake); I'll try to find it. Hang on!

After several vain attempts at pasting the link to the post, the best I can tell you is to type this in "search", top right:

Who are the modarators here? and you'll find it immediately
