Though - present - past

Hello....

Though they live next door, they never talked to each other.

********

Is the sentence correct?
Because "live" is present, and "talked" is past, it seems to be ungrammatical.
Shouldn't the "live" be changed to 'lived"?

After some thought....

Then, the proper sentence will be, "Though they live next door, they have never talked to each other."?
