In reported speech these change to the those for example:

these – those


Direct speech – He said "I think these are very expensive!"

Reported speech – He said he thought those were very expensive

These is the plural of This This dog is mine / These dogs are yours

Those is the plural of That That dog is yours / Those dogs are mine

And what is the difference between "this and that"?
